Research
Drew And Everrett are both graduate students studying marine biology at the University of Maine. Their research focuses on the emerging presence of blue crabs in Maine's coastal waters, marking a significant range expansion for this species. Through an intensive trapping survey in the Damariscotta River estuary, they study the blue crabs population and ecology in this new northern environment. By analyzing environmental parameters and catch data, we aim to better understand how climate change is driving this shift and what other ecological shifts may follow. As pioneers in this field, we are excited to bring these delicious crabs to your table while preserving Maine's unique marine ecosystem. Join us in supporting local research and enjoying one of the ocean's finest delicacies!
